If a young person would rather not discuss being missing with a professional, they can stay in touch with professionals via this app, offering an alternative way of staying in communication. The app is intended to provide young people with access to support services if they need it. This app also provides young people in Haringey with information of their rights if they are stopped and searched, the circumstances in which they can be stopped and search, and the ability to maintain a personal log of a stop and search incident and the young person’s experience.I was missing/ I want to return home. This app provides information to young people to help them understand why some young people go missing, and the circumstances in which this might happen. When a young person has been missing and returns home, it is important that the police and social workers understand what happened to prevent it happening again, so if you have been missing you can use this app to let a trusted person know that you may need help. I need support. If you need support to keep yourself or your friends safe, or you want to talk about being stopped and searched or to be engaged in constructive activities of your choice, you can request contact from a youth professional, using this app, who will contact you within 72 hours to talk.Stop and SearchThe police use stop and search as a legitimate police tactic to prevent crime and harm in the community. Young people tell us that being stopped and searched can be a traumatic experience. If you want to talk to somebody about this experience, you can contact somebody via this App. The log can also be shared with parents and trusted adults at the young person discretion.
